Questions before a project begins.

Straight answers about scope, timing, ownership, revisions, search visibility, and support.

What kinds of websites, portals, and projects do you take on?

I work directly with businesses, nonprofits, community organizations, and internal teams on websites and custom business tools. Projects can include client and employee portals, dashboards, work orders, document sharing, and approval workflows. We define the users, permissions, integrations, testing, training, and ongoing support around your needs. You can start with one useful workflow and expand from there.

Can you redesign an established website, and which platforms do you use?

Yes. I work with WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace, custom PHP and HTML websites, and other established tools when they fit. For an existing site, I review the content, analytics when available, business goals, audiences, functionality, ownership, and long-term maintenance needs before recommending the platform and migration plan.

What will the project cost, and how long will it take?

Investment and timing depend on site size, content readiness, strategy, design, functionality, integrations, migration, accessibility, search work, stakeholders, and approval speed. After discovery, I provide a written proposal with scope, milestones, responsibilities, payment schedule, timeline assumptions, and exclusions.

How are revisions and added work handled?

Each proposal includes defined review stages and revision rounds. Feedback is consolidated by the agreed decision-maker. Added pages, functionality, or a new direction are documented and priced before they become part of the project.

Will the website be prepared for Google and AI search?

I build crawlable, indexable pages with clear service explanations, semantic headings, useful internal links, metadata, image text, organization details, original project proof, and structured data when appropriate. No provider can guarantee rankings, AI citations, or generated-answer placement.

Who owns everything, and what happens after launch?

Whenever possible, the client owns the domain, hosting, platform, analytics, and other core accounts, with project access granted to me. Launch includes the testing, documentation, handoff, training, and correction period listed in the proposal. Continued support can be arranged as focused updates, prepaid time, a recurring agreement, or a separately scoped project.
