TK Retro Rack

Work in progress

An active brand and retail systems project connecting TK Retro Rack's identity, product tags, Shopify catalog, barcodes, labels, in-person sales, photography, and owner training.

Challenge and requirements

TK Retro Rack needed more than a logo. The business also needed a practical way to manage products, create barcodes, print shopping tags and labels, and use the same Shopify setup for in-person sales while the online store continues to take shape. The system had to be understandable enough for the owners to run themselves rather than depend on a developer for every product or sale.

Strategy and implementation

  • Designed the TK Retro Rack logo and the shopping tags used with their products
  • Set up the Shopify website and organized the foundation for the developing online store
  • Showed the owners how to use Shopify's retail tools for barcodes, labels, and in-person shopping
  • Walked through the repeatable product and printing tasks they need to manage the store themselves
  • Planned the website as a work in progress so the store can operate while the online design and catalog continue to grow
  • Completed a brand photo shoot; the photographs have already been used on social media and will be added to the website
  • Continue to develop the online store design and the complete visual style suite

Outcome and ongoing use

TK Retro Rack now has a recognizable logo, branded shopping tags, a working Shopify foundation, and a practical process for barcodes, label printing, and in-person sales. The owners have been shown how to use the tools themselves instead of having every task handled for them. This is still an active project: the online store design, product presentation, and complete style suite are the next phase, and the finished photo shoot will become part of the website as that work continues.
