Pool Techs Construction
PoolTechs & Construction had moved to a new storefront, but the map listings hadn't caught up. A full redesign, corrected listings on Google and Apple Maps, and the print and hiring work that followed.
Challenge and requirements
PoolTechs & Construction has been building and servicing pools around Lincoln, Columbus and the surrounding area since 1999, and in 2022 moved into a converted grocery store in Valparaiso. The website hadn't kept up. It needed a substantial redesign, and there was nowhere to show the pools they'd actually built or the brands they stock. The quieter problem was the move itself: Google and Apple Maps still pointed at the old location, which matters a great deal for a business where every sale happens in person.
Strategy and implementation
- Redesigned the site and built out the page structure it was missing
- Built a photo gallery of completed pool projects
- Added pages for the products and brands they carry in the store
- Built a hiring page, and designed the social graphic that pointed people to it
- Corrected the business location on Google Maps and Apple Maps after the move
- Updated and completed their Google Business Profile
- Designed a double-sided roadside sign for the highway into town
- Designed a postcard mailer for their BioGuard “Pool School” customer night
Outcome and ongoing use
PoolTechs doesn't sell online — every sale happens at the counter in Valparaiso or out on a job site — so the site's job is to get people through the door and show them what's there before they make the drive. It does that now: real project photos, the brands they stock, and map listings that point at the actual building. The work has kept going past the launch, too — a hiring page when they needed technicians, a mailer for a customer event, a roadside sign on the way into town.
